Another Chef Visit!
Today, our lucky students from the Coatesville Youth Initiative were treated to a vegetarian meal made by Chef Scott Moore from Rams Head Bar and Grill in West Chester, PA. The appetizer featured a cauliflower soup, followed by zucchini topped with BBQ sauce, collard greens, various peppers from the MoGreena Gardens. and smoked gouda, sandwiched between fresh grilled sourdough bread. There was also an amazing pasta salad, with more fresh veggies than pasta. The students were beside themselves with the flavors. If that was not enough, they had Rice Krispie treats for dessert. One of our students, Tyree Warner, was celebrating his 16th birthday and received special treatment from co-gardener, Noah Willet.
Other MoGreena employees were lucky enough to pick some fresh produce for themselves and get to sample the meal.
